The 8000 meter Himalayan peaks are called the seats of Gods and are a designated World Heritage Site.

In summer 2006, we will be scheduled holding the Himalya Film Festival. We will emphasize it as an outstanding and unique meeting-of-minds film festival supported by NHK, the Japanese public broadcasting network. It will bring Himalayas' majestic beauty and diversity to the public and foster an understanding of global environmental problems in the Himalayan region.

Every year more than 30,000 people attend the 3-day festival.

We firmly believe that the project will foster people's understanding of Himalayan region and the earth's environment. 2006 will be the "Himalaya Year" in Japan.
